Boyle. Dann sind da Jo Lendle und etwa ein Dutzend anderer Leute von Hanser, einige Buchh\u00e4ndler:innen und Influenzer:innen. Und ich. Vor 13 Jahren habe ich den Mann zum ersten Mal live gesehen, seitdem ist es jedes Mal eine Freude. Jetzt also per Zoom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Boyle ist mittlerweile 72 Jahre alt, haut immer noch abwechselnd einen Roman und eine Kurzgeschichtensammlung raus und behandelt Lesungen wie Rockkonzerte. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Diesmal geht&#8217;s um den neuen Roman &#8222;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hanser-literaturverlage.de\/buch\/sprich-mit-mir\/978-3-446-26915-6\/\">Sprich mit mir<\/a>&#8222;, eine Geschichte \u00fcber die <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cross-fostering\">Fremdpflege<\/a> eines Schimpansen und wie Menschen sich darin verlieren k\u00f6nnen. Dabei gehts gar nicht so sehr um den Roman, mehr um diesen Abend. Der nat\u00fcrlich anders ist als eine Lesung mit B\u00fchne und vielen Menschen und knisternder Atmosph\u00e4re. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ich verstehe und merke selbst den \u00dcberdruss nach diesem extrem digitalen Jahr. Ich arbeite und spiele und lese und unterhalte mich digital und dann kann das Angebot noch so gro\u00df und gut sein, ich kann manchmal nicht mehr auf Bildschirme gucken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Boyle aber ist anders. Boyle sitzt in seinem Arbeitszimmer in Montecito, hinter ihm stapeln sich B\u00fccher und der Raum sieht aus wie einer, der kreativ genutzt wird. Keine saubere B\u00fchne, kein Meter Abstand, sondern einer von 125 Menschen auf Augenh\u00f6he und theoretisch kann jede:r etwas sagen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wie immer plaudert Boyle aus dem N\u00e4hk\u00e4stchen, redet ein bisschen (und erstaunlich hoffnungsvoll) \u00fcber amerikanische Politik und gibt einen kleinen Ausblick auf das n\u00e4chste Buch (&#8222;Blue Skies&#8220;, sowas wie eine Fortsetzung von &#8222;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hanser-literaturverlage.de\/buch\/ein-freund-der-erde\/978-3-446-19975-0\/\">Ein Freund der Erde<\/a>&#8222;).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nat\u00fcrlich freue ich mich auf echte Lesungen und Treffen und alles. Aber seit 2020 kann ich ganz selbstverst\u00e4ndlich in die Arbeitszimmer anderer Menschen reinschauen. Oft welche, die ich kenne, manchmal aber eben auch Menschen wie Cory Doctorow, Cornelia Funke oder T.C. Boyle. Das waren jeweils spannende Einblicke und tolle Abende. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Danke an Hanser f\u00fcr diesen Abend. Jetzt lese ich erstmal den Roman.
