Uwe, der Kaffeehaussitzer, hat \u00fcber seinen Umgang mit B\u00fcchern<\/a> geschrieben. Ich nehme seine \u00dcberschriften, sage Danke, und schreibe meinen Umgang. Zitate sind jeweils von Uwe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00dcber das Sammeln<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es werden immer mehr. Ich lese etwa ein bis zwei B\u00fccher in der Woche und oft kommen im gleichen Zeitraum vier, f\u00fcnf, sechs neue dazu. Die Regale quellen \u00fcber, die B\u00fccher stapeln sich auf dem Boden, auf St\u00fchlen, auf dem K\u00fcchenfensterbrett, \u00fcberall. Geht mir hier genauso. Wobei ich dem immer wieder versuche, Einhalt zu gebieten. Statt B\u00fccher gleich zu kaufen, lege ich sie auf die Wunschliste<\/a>, die gleichzeitig als Erinnerung funktioniert. Aber trotzdem komme ich nicht an einem B\u00fccherschrank vorbei, ohne reinzusehen. fomab – fear of missing a book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karen Olsson schreibt auf Literary Hub dar\u00fcber, warum sie nicht all ihre B\u00fccher liest<\/a>, unter anderem deshalb:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I keep this book around even though I don\u2019t wish to make anything of it in a literal sense\u2014I don\u2019t want to write fiction or nonfiction or a nutty screenplay about a mesoamerican document, but I wish for it to somehow whisper in my ear while I write something not at all about the map, for its enigmatic presence to leave some ineffable trace.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u00dcber das Verleihen<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bevor ich Menschen B\u00fccher gebe, von denen ich glaube, dass sie ihnen gefallen k\u00f6nnten, stempele ich sie mit meinem Namen. Oft ist es dann auch okay, wenn das Buch nicht zur\u00fcckkommt. Aber es gibt ein paar B\u00fccher, die ich echt gern zur\u00fcckh\u00e4tte \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00dcber die perfekte Lesehaltung<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ganz egal. Hauptsache Buch. Oft im Zug, manchmal auf dem R\u00fccksitz, meine ganzen 1,86 mit angezogenen Beinen zwischen die Sitze geklemmt. Aber auch im Bett, am Strand, auf dem Friedhof oder sonstwo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00dcber Hei\u00dfgetr\u00e4nke<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nicht zwingend notwendig. Aber wenn, dann – sorry, Uwe – Schwarztee mit S\u00fc\u00dfe und Zitrone. Ich bin zu einem Viertel Polnisch und seit meiner Kindheit ist Schwarztee das Getr\u00e4nk meiner Wahl. Im Moment steht eine 1,7 Liter Kanne neben mir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
