Ein paar wenige verdienen daran richtig gut, alle anderen krebsen herum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hubert, Seth und Natalie beschlie\u00dfen, diese Gesellschaft hinter sich zu lassen und wegzugehen (&#8218;Walkaways&#8216;). Aber die Gesellschaft findet das gar nicht so cool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eigentlich ist es egal, worum es geht. Seit knapp zehn Jahren inspirieren und unterhalten mich <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mokita.de\/blog\/?s=Doctorow\">Cory Doctorow<\/a> und seine Romane. Er schreibt keine literarischen Meisterwerke, aber unterhaltsame, intelligente Geschichten, die sehr nah an unserer Realit\u00e4t liegen und oft sowas wie Bedienungsanleitungen f\u00fcr unser digital gepr\u00e4gtes Leben sind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Homeland geht ein paar Jahre weiter in die Zukunft, eine Weiterentwicklung der Gedanken in <a href=\"https:\/\/littlebrotherhoerbuch.wordpress.com\/2010\/02\/09\/das-komplette-horbuch-in-einem-paket\/\">Little Brother<\/a> und besonders in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Makers_(Roman)\">Makers.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Doctorow schreibt einfach und spa\u00dfig, sodass ich schnell durch die 700 Seiten komme. Dennoch ist der Inhalt extrem komplex und regt zum Denken an. Wie wollen wir in Zukunft leben? Welche M\u00f6glichkeiten geben uns all die Dinge, die sich immer weiter in unseren Alltag dr\u00e4ngen? Und wie gehen wir mit ihnen um? Zwischen zwei Serien kann man dieses Buch sehr gut konsumieren, sich Gedanken machen und sich unterhalten lassen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eigentlich schon genug gesagt \u00fcber dieses Buch. Aber Doctorow macht in diesem nebenbei eine ziemlich spannende Sache: Der Aufbruch jeglicher Heteronormativit\u00e4t. Junge trifft auf M\u00e4dchen trifft auf M\u00e4dchen trifft auf Hermaphrodit und wieder zur\u00fcck. Dass eine der Hauptfiguren schwarz ist, wird nach Dreiviertel des Romanes im Nebensatz erw\u00e4hnt. All diese Vielfalt geschieht ohne Kommentar und ist so selbstverst\u00e4ndlich, dass es mir &#8211; in unserem Alltag und unserer aktuellen Gesellschaft &#8211; auff\u00e4llt. In einer ganz skurrilen Art. Weil ich nicht will, dass diese Vielfalt, diese Pannormativit\u00e4t irgendetwas anderes ist, als Normalit\u00e4t. Wir als Gesellschaft aber noch nicht so weit sind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c4hnliches macht Doctorow auch mit Genussmitteln. Die Protagonisten des Buches rauchen immer mal wieder Meth und ich zucke beim Lesen zur\u00fcck und warte auf irgendeine Erl\u00e4uterung, irgendeine Erkl\u00e4rung oder Warnung oder sonst was, die aber nie kommt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Noch eine andere Sache muss ich erw\u00e4hnen, weil sie mich extrem, wirklich extrem genervt hat: Die deutsche Ausgabe des Romans hat einen riesigen Patzer im Klappentext. Es gibt drei oben genannte Hauptfiguren in diesem Roman: Natalie, Seth und Hubert. Hubert hat 20 Vornamen und wird deshalb Hubert Ecetera genannt. Im englischen Klappentext steht also:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>In a world wrecked by climate change, in a society owned by the ultra-rich, in a city hollowed out by industrial flight, Hubert, Etc, Seth and Natalie have nowhere else to be and nothing better to do. (&#8230;)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Auf der deutschen Ausgabe steht:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>(&#8230;) Vier ungleiche Helden machen sich auf den Weg in die Wildnis. (&#8230;)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Ich habe 700 Seiten gelesen, immer irritiert und in der Erwartung, wann endlich diese vierte Person auftaucht. Nur um danach zu verstehen, dass dies schlicht falsch ist. Das hat eigentlich nichts mit dem Roman zu tun, beeinflusst das Leseerlebnis aber extrem. Auf eine Art, die nicht sein muss.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2N8qWiC\">Walkaway<\/a>\u00a0ist eine spannende Zukunftsvision, utopisch und dystopisch zugleich, die leicht zu lesen und schwer zu verdauen ist. Ein Buch, dass seine Sache richtig gut macht, mal vom deutschen Klappentext abgesehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2N8qWiC\">Walkaway<\/a>\u00a0von Cory Doctorow wurde \u00fcbersetzt von J\u00fcrgen Langowski und erschien bei <a href=\"https:\/\/www.randomhouse.de\/Paperback\/Walkaway\/Cory-Doctorow\/Heyne\/e504326.rhd\">Heyne<\/a>.
