Boyle, kam damals zur richtigen Zeit. Ich war 19 und wir hatten einen <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mokita.de\/blog\/2012\/01\/14\/ich-habe-gestern-unseren-bus-verkauft\/\">VW Bus<\/a>, ich las Ken Kesey, Tom Wolfe &amp; Jack Kerouac, trug indische Hemden und fand viele Aspekte der Beatniks und Hippies spannend. Und dann erschien dieses Buch \u00fcber die Hippie Kommune, die nach Alaska zieht und nat\u00fcrlich wollte ich es lesen. Tat ich. Fand&#8217;s geil. Seitdem <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mokita.de\/blog\/2011\/06\/26\/aktion-die-neuen-100-lieblingsbucher-der-deutschen\/\">begleitet mich T.C. Boyle<\/a>. 2009 ist er mit seinem Roman <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2monMWH\">Die Frauen<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mokita.de\/blog\/2009\/03\/20\/autorenempfehlung-tc-boyle\/\">in Stuttgart<\/a> und ich sa\u00df im Publikum. Schon damals war er ein relativ alter Mann, d\u00fcrr und hochgewachsen und wahrscheinlich hatte er schon damals rote Chucks an. War eine gro\u00dfartige Lesung damals, obwohl ich erstmal gar kein Interesse an dem Roman hatte.<\/p>\n<p>Dann habe ich Anfang des Jahres gesehen, dass T.C. Boyle wieder nach Stuttgart kommt und ich wollte mit dabei sein. Diesmal <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imwizemann.de\/\">im Wizemann<\/a>, die derzeit angesagteste Location in Stuttgart, veranstaltet von <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wittwer.de\/shop\/action\/?aUrl=90009134\">Wittwer<\/a>. Die Buchhandlung wird dieses Jahr 150 Jahre alt, deshalb gibt es das Jahr \u00fcber <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wittwer.de\/shop\/action\/mymagazine\/93491\/alle_veranstaltungen.html?aUrl=90009134\">hochkar\u00e4tige Lesungen<\/a>\u00a0zum Preis von 18,67 Euro, ihr versteht schon, dem Gr\u00fcndungsjahr. Boyle war eine davon.<\/p>\n<p>Etwa einen Monat vor Veranstaltung ist sie ausverkauft, die gro\u00dfe Halle ist bis an den Rand bestuhlt, rund 620 St\u00fchle plus ein paar unbeabsichtigte Stehpl\u00e4tze. Boyle und Denis Scheck mit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.piamaria-fedelucci.de\/Home.html\">Pia Maria Fedelucci<\/a> auf die B\u00fchne, sie wird die deutschen Passagen lesen. Von Frau Fedelucci haben wir erst in diesem Moment erfahren, denn im Vorfeld wurde auch auf Nachfrage nicht gesagt, wer die deutschen Passagen \u00fcbernehmen wird.<\/p>\n<p>Boyle und Scheck sind seit Jahren befreundet und jeweils B\u00fchnenprofis. Boyle sagt selbst, Lesungen m\u00fcssen sein wie Rock-Konzerte, die Leute m\u00fcssen Spa\u00df haben. Das kann er und bindet nicht nur das Publikum, sondern auch Frau Fedelucci ein, die sonst nur neben ihm gesessen w\u00e4re und auf ihren Auftritt gewartet h\u00e4tte. Habe ich schon <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mokita.de\/blog\/2016\/11\/12\/lesung-cynthia-daprix-sweeney-am-10-11-im-literaturhaus-stuttgart\/\">schlimmer<\/a> erlebt. Scheck ist extrem gut darin, englische Pointen ins Deutsche zu \u00fcbertragen und dann wieder in eine englische Frage \u00fcberzugehen, die sich nicht wie die n\u00e4chste auf dem Zettel anh\u00f6rt, sondern wie die, die auf die letzte Antwort von Boyle kommen muss. Und Boyle liest nicht nur, sondern erz\u00e4hlt, &#8211; nat\u00fcrlich unausweichbar &#8211; von Trump, \u00fcber seine Faszination, die ihn immer wieder zum Schreiben bringt, \u00fcber den aktuellen Roman, \u00fcber Politik, Drogen und den n\u00e4chsten Roman, den er schreibt, \u00fcber den LSD-Entdecker <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Albert_Hofmann\">Albert Hofmann<\/a> und seine legend\u00e4re Fahrradfahrt.<\/p>\n<p>Die beiden heben die Veranstaltung auf ein Niveau, das Frau Fedelucci leider nicht halten kann. Boyle selbst liest die englischen Passagen nicht nur vor, er performt sie, legt sich in die Haltungen und erm\u00f6glicht\u00a0es selbst jemandem, der kein englisch versteht, mitzukommen.<\/p>\n<p>Frau Fedelucci dagegen liest vor, sodass man sie versteht. Sie gibt mir aber in dem Moment nicht das Gef\u00fchl, sie w\u00fcrde es erleben. Ich will Frau Fedelucci auf keinen Fall ihre F\u00e4higkeiten als Schauspielerin absprechen, aber schauspielen und H\u00f6rb\u00fccher sprechen ist nicht das Gleiche.<\/p>\n<p>Es ist eben auch nicht fair, ihr neben diese beiden Veteranen zu setzen. Ich h\u00e4tte mir gew\u00fcnscht, einen \u00e4hnlich guten Sprecher f\u00fcr die deutschen Passagen zu erleben, vielleicht sogar Eli Wasserscheid selbst, die die <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2lnnTRN\">H\u00f6rbuchversion<\/a> des Romanes spricht.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"150 Jahre Wittwer - Lesung T.C. Wir applaudieren und kommen kaum aus der Halle, weil die Schlange zum signieren bis dorthin reicht. Und dann steht Boyle rund eine Stunde am B\u00fccherstand und signiert wirklich jedes Buch, welches ihm hingehalten wird, wechselt mit jedem ein paar Worte und ist bis zum Ende, ich war vorletzter, extrem freundlich.<\/p>\n<p>T.C. Boyle ist mittlerweile 69 Jahre alt, ich bemerke das sch\u00fcttere Haar, welches 2009 noch l\u00e4nger und zu einem Zopf zusammengebunden war. Aber ansonsten steht ein fitter Mann vor mir, bestimmt zehn Zentimeter gr\u00f6\u00dfer als ich, witzig und unterhaltsam.<\/p>\n<p>Ich gehe mit einer sehr sch\u00f6nen Erinnerung nach Hause, freue mich auf die n\u00e4chsten B\u00fccher und hoffentlich noch ein paar Lesungen von Herrn Boyle.
